Abstract

Mental health remains a stigmatized and neglected subject in many minority communities worldwide, including in Pakistan. This study investigates attitudes towards mental health within ethnic and religious minority groups in Pakistan, exploring socio-cultural, economic, and educational factors that influence perceptions and treatment-seeking behaviors. Using a mixed-method approach, involving surveys and focus groups, the research reveals significant stigma, misconceptions, and barriers to accessing mental health services. The study highlights the need for culturally sensitive mental health awareness programs and policy interventions to improve mental health outcomes in minority populations.
